Our private charter boats are suitable for most ages from 1 year and up, weather permitting. Our friendly team will discuss the weather forecast with you upon booking and will keep you informed for the day of intended travel. Please contact us on 1800 202 909 and one of our helpful team can assist you.
Snorkelling equipment is included when you book your private charter. All masks, snorkels, fins and protective stinger suits are included. We have prescription masks available for hire, please enquire via email firstname.lastname@example.org. Children’s snorkelling equipment is also available, please provide shoe and shirt sizes upon booking.
Stinger suits are included in your snorkelling equipment. We highly reccommend wearing a stinger suit between October – May due to stinger season. The stinger suit covers most of your body, it not only protects you from the marine stingers, but also provides protection from the harsh Queensland sun.
Yes, you can participate in snorkelling if you wear glasses. We have prescription masks available for hire, please enquire via email email@example.com
If you are not confident in the water, swimming or snorkelling, please let our team know upon check-in and inform your skipper and crew on the day. Our team will assist you in the water. We have floatation devices available
That is perfectly okay if you choose not to go snorkelling during your private charter. Please let our team know when you book.
Unfortunately our vessels and products are not wheelchair accessible. We are currently working towards making our vessels and products more accessible for everyone.
It is very rare that guests onboard our small fast boat private charters will get sea sick. Due to the size of our vessels and the rate the speed that the vessel travels at it is unlikely you will experience sea sickness during travel. Guests may feel sea sick when the boat is stationary due to the gentle rock of the ocean. If you are prone to sea sickness it is recommended to take sea sickness medication.
Freedom Exclusive Charters departs from Hamilton Island and Airlie Beach. We also have collection points at Palm Bay Resort and Elysian Retreat on Long Island. We do not offer pick ups from any other island resorts for our private charters.
Our private charters depart from Shute Harbour or Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach. It is recommended to choose Shute Harbour as your departure location as it is closer to the islands and maximises your time spent exploring during your private charter.
To check-in you will need to arrive at our temporary office located below the Hamilton Island Marina Office passed the IGA supermarket. Upon booking you will be given a time of departure. You need to arrive at the office to check-in 15 mins prior to your departure. Our friendly team will then direct you to the Marina Arm where your private charter will be ready for departure.
Shute Harbour, Airlie Beach
To check-in you will need to arrive at the Jetty next to the bus stop at Shute Harbour. Upon booking you will be given a time of departure. You need to arrive at the jetty to check-in 15 mins prior to your departure. Our friendly team will meet you at the Jetty with the private charter vessel to greet you and check you in.
Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach
To check-in you will need to arrive at Meeting Point C at Coral Sea Marina. Upon booking you will be given a time of departure. You need to arrive at Meeting Point C at Coral Sea Marina to check-in 15 mins prior to your departure. Our friendly team will then direct you to the Marina Arm where your private charter will be ready for departure.
Yes, there is ample paid parking available at Coral Sea Marina and free parking available in the top carpark at Shute Harbour.
Our largest private charter boat has a toilet on board. There are toilets available at Shute Harbour, Coral Sea Marina and Hamilton Island. There are also public toilets available at most of the island locations we travel to.
Yes, you are most welcome to bring along your own lunch and/or snacks for your private charter. Please be sure to keep your lunch packed inside a water proof container to maintain freshness and protection from the elements.
Yes, guests are welcome to bring along their own drinks for the day. Alcoholic beverages are also permitted to bring along. Please note that due to the nature of our vessels no glass is permitted on board for safety reasons. Canned drinks and disposable cups welcome.
Yes, we can arrange catering for your private charter. You can choose from our standard catering or seafood platter. You can find out more about our catering options here.
We cater for most dietary requirements and allergies. Please be sure to inform our team members or your dietary requirements or allergies when you book your private charter. This way our team can organise and provide delicious options to cater for your needs.
At times the weather in the tropics can be unpredictable. We will provide an updated weather report before departure and discuss in detail with you the scheduled plan for the day.
On occasion we travel to different locations to provide the most enjoyable day possible. Should this be required we will explain this to you prior to departure.
Yes, we encourage guests to bring along their own camera or phone for the day. Be sure to share your day with us by tagging us on Instagram! We recommend bringing along waterproof storage or phone casing to protect them from the salt water. All electrical devices and personal belongings are brought along at the guests own risk, Freedom Exclusive Charters is in no way responsible for any damages or lost items during the private charter.
Freedom Exclusive Charters does not currently offer the hire of Go-Pro’s or cameras. However, when you upgrade to an Adventure Guide you’ll recieve FREE images from your day out on the water. The images taken by your Adventure Guide will be available to you via our Facebook Page Freedom Exclusive Charters.
